Here's what you need:
- A deep rectangle food container (think big enough to fit two 7-0z. skeins of yarn)
- A drill or other tool for poking a hole in the plastic
All you're going to do is poke a hole or two (depending on size) in the side of a plastic container for yarn to be threaded through. I know you can find some decent plastic rectangle containers - deep ones, at that - at dollar stores. The lids will keep the yarn skeins nice and snug.
This isn't as large as the yarn tote in my previous post, but it's an affordable project for accomplishing the same thing - portable yarn storage for working on crochet projects.
